30 Oct Visiting Santa Clara
Located in the heart of Cuba, Santa Clara is sure to steal your heart as well. This city of nearly 250,000 people has a rich history. This is where the last battle of the Cuban revolution was fought in 1958. This battle is memorialized at the Che Guevara’s monument , museum, and mausoleum, one of Santa Clara’s many attractions.
Santa Clara is one of our favorite destinations for people-to-people tours in Cuba for a simple reason: it’s a very social place. For example, Parque Vidal is a prime gathering place each afternoon. Here, people come out to enjoy the sunshine and meet other people.
You’ll also enjoy strolling down Santa Clara’s pedestrian boulevard where you can mingle with others, shop, sample Cuban food, and admire an eclectic mix of architectural styles.
